About Our Client: Our client, who is seeking an Assistant Physical Therapist, provides comprehensive physical, occupational, and speech therapy services, including in-clinic, home care, and senior living options across New Jersey. Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated Assistant Physical Therapist to join our client’s team in supporting licensed PTs across Montclair, Edison, and Piscataway. This role offers valuable hands-on experience in a dynamic healthcare environment, ideal for individuals aspiring to pursue a career in physical therapy and contribute to our client’s mission of improving patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist licensed Physical Therapists in conducting assessments and implementing treatment plans.
- Prepare treatment areas and equipment for therapy sessions, ensuring cleanliness and safety.
- Instruct patients in therapeutic exercises and activities prescribed by the PT to enhance mobility and functional abilities.
- Monitor patient progress during therapy sessions and document observations accurately.
- Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and self-care techniques.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure coordinated and effective patient care.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or related field preferred.
- Previous experience in a healthcare or rehabilitation setting is advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with patients and colleagues.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
- Willingness to learn and contribute to a collaborative healthcare team.
