Key Responsibilities:

• Lead AI Innovation: Spearhead the development of state-of-the-art AI models specifically designed for concrete mix optimization.
• Define Data Science Strategy: Establish and execute a comprehensive data science and MLOps strategy to align with the company’s overarching objectives.
• Implement Active Learning Pipelines: Design and implement dynamic active learning pipelines to facilitate continuous model improvement and adaptation.
• Oversee Model Deployment: Manage the end-to-end process of training, testing, and deploying AI models for real-world applications within the construction industry.
• Optimize for Performance: Continuously optimize machine learning pipelines to achieve optimal accuracy and computational efficiency.
• Foster Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, material scientists, and domain experts, to seamlessly integrate AI solutions into existing workflows.
• Champion Data Integrity: Manage and improve datasets, ensuring data quality, cleansing, and structuring for optimal model performance.

• Mentor and Lead: Provide guidance and mentorship to data science team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.

Key Skills and Experience:

• Expertise in Machine Learning: Demonstrated proficiency in machine learning model development and deployment, with a deep understanding of optimization problems and generative models.
• Programming Skills: Strong programming skills in Python or similar languages, with hands-on experience using deep learning frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• MLOps Proficiency: Familiarity with MLOps practices and tools to streamline the deployment and management of machine learning models.
• Active Learning: Knowledge of active learning pipelines for iterative model improvement and adaptation.
• Advanced Concepts: Understanding of uncertainty quantification and transfer learning techniques.
• Data Engineering: Experience with data engineering tasks, including data cleansing, feature engineering, and working with sparse, noisy real-world datasets.
• Deployment Experience: Familiarity with deploying AI models on GPUs/TPUs for optimal computational efficiency.
• Leadership Experience: 5+ years of experience in machine learning or data science roles, with proven leadership capabilities and a track record of deploying ML solutions at scale.
• Industry Experience: Experience with real-world industrial datasets, ideally within the material science or construction industry, and a proven ability to derive actionable insights.
• Bonus Skills: Experience with AI-driven optimization and inverse design techniques is a plus.
