About the Opportunity

As a Database Administrator, you’ll join a collaborative Platform Operations team responsible for the reliability, security, performance, and scalability of enterprise databases supporting modern SaaS applications.
Working alongside Infrastructure, Software Engineering, Product Development, and Analytics teams, you’ll ensure mission-critical systems remain secure, highly available, and optimized while continuously improving deployment, monitoring, and automation processes.

What You’ll Do
As a Database Administrator, you’ll help ensure the performance, security, and availability of enterprise database environments.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Administer, monitor, and optimize Microsoft SQL Server database environments.
- Maintain highly available enterprise databases supporting mission-critical SaaS applications.
- Monitor system performance and proactively identify opportunities for optimization.
- Troubleshoot database, storage, and infrastructure issues across production environments.
- Optimize SQL queries, indexing strategies, and database performance.
- Support deployment and maintenance of Azure-based database services.
- Collaborate with Software Engineering teams to improve database design and application performance.
- Implement database maintenance plans, backup strategies, and disaster recovery procedures.
- Automate database deployment and operational processes using DevOps best practices.
- Participate in capacity planning, infrastructure optimization, and platform improvements.
- Maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.
- Promote database security, governance, and operational best practices.
What You’ll Bring
Required Qualifications
We’re interested in professionals who possess:
- 5+ years of experience administering enterprise database environments.
- Strong Microsoft SQL Server administration experience.
- Advanced SQL development and performance tuning skills.
- Experience supporting large-scale production databases.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure database services.
- Strong understanding of database security, backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning.
- Experience troubleshooting performance bottlenecks.
- Knowledge of database monitoring and automation tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
