Field Service Technician

Axe Recruiting, on behalf of one of North America’s premier equipment providers, is seeking an experienced Field Service Technician with a background in forklift, heavy equipment, or material handling repairs. This role offers a Monday to Friday work schedule, competitive hourly wages (no flat rates), and a full array of benefits. What You’ll Do:

• Carry out routine maintenance on forklifts and a wide variety of material handling machinery.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical issues across a range of equipment.
• Ensure high-quality service by adhering to safety standards and completing tasks efficiently.
• Submit all necessary paperwork and job updates promptly.
• Offer exceptional customer service, responding to inquiries and troubleshooting equipment problems on-site.
• Actively participate in ongoing paid training to sharpen your diagnostic skills and stay current with industry advancements.
• Be punctual and ready to start work on time every day.

What We’re Looking For:

• At least 2 years of hands-on experience in forklift maintenance and repair (fieldwork preferred).
• Solid working knowledge of electric and propane-powered equipment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work independently without supervision.
• Must possess personal tools and hold a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Experience using diagnostic software or equipment-related computer programs is a plus.
• Strong communication skills, able to effectively explain repair issues to customers and write reports.
• Ability to follow written instructions and safety protocols while solving problems in a practical manner.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment:

• Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands, and reach for tools or parts.
• Occasional lifting of equipment or materials weighing between 25-100 pounds.
• Exposure to a variety of work conditions, including outdoor weather, machinery with moving parts, and some risk of electric shock.
