Job Overview:
We are currently seeking a skilled Landscape Construction Project Manager to lead the planning, coordination, and execution of playground construction projects throughout North America. This role requires managing all aspects of the project lifecycle, from initial planning through to post-occupancy, while ensuring continuous and effective communication among all project stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with internal teams, designers, clients, landscape architects, and other stakeholders to define project scope while maintaining oversight of budgets and timelines.
- Develop and manage comprehensive project schedules, ensuring all milestones are met and communicating any potential delays proactively to stakeholders.
- Oversee the coordination of playground equipment delivery and installation, liaising with clients and local subcontractors as necessary.
- Monitor project progress closely, identifying and resolving any issues that may arise to keep the project on track.
- Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Maintain accurate project records, including budgets, schedules, and any changes or adjustments to plans.
- Communicate regularly with clients to update them on project progress and address any concerns.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to project team members, including field staff and subcontractors. This includes preparing installation instructions in collaboration with the design and manufacturing teams.
- Conduct site visits as needed to monitor work quality, progress, and adherence to safety requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in landscape construction project management.
- Strong knowledge of landscape construction materials, methods, and best practices.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in project management software, Microsoft Office suite, and Google G-Suite.
- Experience with AutoCAD or other design software is an asset.
- Familiarity with the use of hand tools is an asset.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to travel within Canada and the United States as required.
Compensation:
The salary range for this position is $79,000 – $98,000, commensurate with experience.
