Position Overview
Axe Recruiting is seeking a Marketing Performance Director for our client’s dynamic and growing team. This role is perfect for a media buying expert with a deep background in digital marketing, particularly in an ad agency setting. You will be responsible for overseeing media buying strategies across diverse industries, leading campaigns that deliver tangible business results.
This is a client-facing position, with the expectation to work directly with clients across the Guelph-to-Sarnia corridor. In-person meetings and collaboration are key components of this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Media Buying Strategy: Lead and execute strategic media buying initiatives across multiple platforms (social media, search, programmatic, etc.) for a diverse client base.
- Campaign Optimization: Continuously monitor and optimize performance campaigns to achieve or surpass business KPIs.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong client relationships, providing regular updates, performance reviews, and actionable insights to ensure ongoing success.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with internal creative and technical teams to ensure alignment between media strategies and client objectives.
- Industry Knowledge: Stay updated on the latest industry trends and technological advancements to continuously evolve and improve media buying strategies.
- Leadership & Mentorship: Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering an environment of innovation and continuous improvement.
- Reporting: Provide detailed performance reports, ensuring clients have clear visibility on campaign results and next steps.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in media buying within a digital marketing or ad agency setting.
- Proven success managing high-budget media campaigns that deliver significant ROI across multiple digital channels.
- Excellent client-facing skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively, building strong and lasting relationships.
- Data-driven mindset, focused on continuous improvement and optimization of media buying strategies.
- Must be local to the Guelph-to-Sarnia region, with the ability to meet clients in person.
- Strong leadership and mentorship skills, with experience developing and guiding team members.
- A passion for staying at the forefront of digital marketing trends and media innovation.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: Competitive salary ranging from $100,000 to $115,000, plus a quarterly bonus program.
