About the Opportunity

Axe Recruiting is partnering with a growing physician-led specialty medical organization seeking an experienced Neuropsychologist (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) to join its expanding clinical team.

This is an exceptional opportunity for a licensed Neuropsychologist looking to practice in a collaborative outpatient setting while earning $150 per hour as a full-time W-2 employee. Providers travel to affiliated clinic locations throughout New York City’s five boroughs, delivering comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations that support patient diagnosis and treatment planning.


Position Overview

The Neuropsychologist will perform comprehensive neuropsychological assessments for adult patients presenting with cognitive, neurological, and behavioral concerns. Responsibilities include administering and interpreting standardized testing, preparing detailed clinical reports, and collaborating with physicians and advanced practice providers to develop evidence-based treatment recommendations.

Providers are assigned to one clinic location per workday and travel to affiliated outpatient clinics throughout the five boroughs of New York City.


Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations for adult patients.
  • Administer, score, and interpret standardized neuropsychological assessment batteries.
  • Assess cognitive functioning, memory, attention, executive functioning, language, visuospatial abilities, and emotional functioning.
  • Prepare detailed diagnostic reports with clinical findings and recommendations.
  • Communicate assessment results to referring physicians and interdisciplinary care teams.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and other healthcare professionals to support coordinated patient care.
  • Educate patients and families regarding evaluation findings and treatment recommendations.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR).
  • Ensure compliance with all professional, ethical, and regulatory standards.
  • Travel to assigned outpatient clinic locations throughout New York City’s five boroughs.
  • Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care while maintaining the highest standards of clinical excellence.

Qualifications
Required
  • Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology from an APA-accredited program.
  • Completion of an APA-accredited internship.
  • Specialized postdoctoral training in Clinical Neuropsychology or equivalent experience.
  • Active New York State Psychologist License.
  • Experience performing comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations.
  • Strong diagnostic, analytical, and report-writing skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between clinic locations.
Preferred
  • Board Certification in Clinical Neuropsychology (ABPP-CN) or board-eligible.
  • Experience evaluating patients with traumatic brain injury, concussion, dementia, stroke, ADHD, learning disorders, and other neurological conditions.
  • Experience working in outpatient specialty or multidisciplinary practices.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
  • Bilingual language skills are a plus.
