About the Opportunity
Axe Recruiting is partnering with a leading behavioral health organization to identify an experienced Psychiatric–Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC). In this hybrid role, you’ll split your time between in-person patient visits and virtual consultations, offering both flexibility and continuity of care. Our client’s dedicated administrative team manages scheduling, prior authorizations, and non-clinical tasks—so you can devote your energy entirely to clinical practice and patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive psychiatric assessments and ongoing medication management across adult, adolescent, geriatric, and pediatric populations

  • Design and adjust individualized treatment plans in collaboration with psychiatrists, therapists, and care coordinators

  • Leverage telehealth platforms alongside on-site appointments to maximize patient access and engagement

  • Stay current with—and advocate for—emerging therapies and innovative treatment modalities

  • Ensure accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with New York State regulations

Qualifications

  • Board-certified Psychiatric–Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC), licensed in New York State (multi-state licensure is a strong asset)

  • At least 5 years of hands-on psychiatric clinical experience (10+ years preferred)

  • Demonstrated skill treating a broad spectrum of psychiatric conditions

  • Comfortable and proficient working in both telehealth and face-to-face environments

  • Collaborative mindset, exceptional communication skills, and commitment to a supportive team culture

  • Intellectual curiosity and eagerness to learn new treatment approaches

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive salary range of $130,000 – $160,000+ Up to 30% Bonuses, commensurate with experience
