Axe Recruiting is seeking a Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist on behalf of our client, a premier mental health services provider in Texas. This position offers a hybrid outpatient model with a flexible schedule, allowing for both in-person and telehealth services. The role focuses on providing comprehensive psychiatric care to children and adolescents in a collaborative, patient-centered environment.

Key Responsibilities
Diagnose & Treat: Conduct psychiatric evaluations, develop treatment plans, and manage mental health disorders in children and adolescents
Medication Management: Prescribe, monitor, and adjust psychiatric medications as needed
Collaborative Care: Work with therapists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic, integrated patient care
Family Support: Engage with families and caregivers, providing education, treatment guidance, and emotional support
Hybrid Model: Offer a mix of in-person and telepsychiatry services, ensuring patient accessibility and provider work-life balance
Compliance & Documentation: Maintain accurate, HIPAA-compliant patient records and clinical documentation in accordance with Texas regulations
Professional Development: Stay informed about the latest advancements in child and adolescent psychiatry
Cultural Competence: Provide inclusive, culturally sensitive mental health care tailored to diverse patient populations
Qualifications
Education & Licensing:
MD or DO with board certification in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry
Valid and unrestricted medical license in the state of Texas (or eligibility to obtain one)
Experience:
Minimum 3 years of experience treating children and adolescents in an outpatient psychiatric setting
Strong background in managing mood disorders, anxiety, ADHD, and behavioral issues
Skills & Attributes:
Expertise in evidence-based psychiatric treatments
Experience or willingness to work in a hybrid (telehealth + in-person) model
Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
Strong communication skills, particularly in engaging with children, families, and caregivers
Empathetic, patient-centered approach to mental health care
Adaptability and willingness to embrace evolving psychiatric care models
Compensation & Benefits
Base Salary: $252,000 annually
