About the Opportunity
Axe Recruiting has been retained by a cutting-edge innovator in AI-driven digital pathology and medical imaging to appoint a Head of Global Strategy. This executive will design and execute international expansion, build partnerships across healthcare and biotech, and establish the organization as a market leader in AI for clinical and research applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and execute global growth strategies across U.S., European, and Asian markets.

• Partner with the CEO and board on investment, M&A, licensing, and strategic partnerships.

• Oversee competitive intelligence and align market insights with product roadmaps.

• Build and lead a global strategy function, embedding accountability and execution.

Success Metrics (KPIs)

• Deliver a 3-year global strategy roadmap within 6 months.

• Secure 2+ major partnerships with hospitals, CROs, or pharma within the first year.

• Establish presence in two new international markets within 18 months.

• Influence overall company revenue growth by 20%+ YOY through market expansion.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in strategic leadership within AI-driven healthcare or adjacent industries:

  • Digital pathology or medical imaging

  • Healthcare SaaS / Health IT

  • Biotech or pharma commercialization

• Proven record of scaling operations across multiple regions.

• Deep knowledge of healthcare workflows and regulatory environments.

• Advanced degree (MBA, PhD, MD) strongly preferred.
