About the Opportunity
Our client, a rapidly scaling behavioral health organization, is seeking a Lead Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to provide both clinical leadership and direct patient care. This role is central to supporting a growing team of LCSWs and ensuring high standards of care as the organization expands across New York and beyond.
The Lead LCSW will balance clinical practice, staff supervision, and program oversight. This is an opportunity to step into a leadership position with a mission-driven organization focused on delivering accessible, high-quality behavioral health services.
Key Responsibilities of Lead Licensed Clinical Social Worker
Provide direct psychotherapy and counseling services to a patient caseload.
Serve as clinical supervisor for LCSWs and LMSWs, including case reviews, coaching, and mentoring.
Ensure compliance with state regulations and organizational standards for documentation, treatment planning, and reporting.
Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, PMHNPs, and intake teams to support integrated care delivery.
Partner with leadership to develop and implement program improvements, workflows, and quality assurance initiatives.
Act as a liaison between clinical staff and executive leadership, ensuring staff needs and patient outcomes are met.
Assist in hiring, onboarding, and developing social work staff as the organization scales.
Qualifications
Current New York State Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) credential.
Minimum 5+ years of clinical social work experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
Proven ability to supervise and develop junior clinicians.
Strong understanding of behavioral health regulations, compliance, and documentation standards.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a growing clinical team.

Compensation & Benefits
Base salary: $90,000–$105,000 USD+
