Axe Recruiting is seeking an Outpatient Psychiatrist for a leading mental health organization specializing in providing high-quality, accessible psychiatric care. This role is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting veterans, first responders, and individuals facing complex psychiatric challenges. The ideal candidate will be highly skilled in managing co-occurring disorders, personality disorders, and psychiatric emergencies, while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best patient outcomes.


Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive outpatient psychiatric care, including assessments, diagnoses, and treatment planning

  • Manage complex cases involving mood disorders, personality disorders, and co-occurring conditions

  • Conduct psychiatric evaluations and mental status examinations to develop evidence-based treatment plans

  • Implement suicide prevention strategies and crisis intervention techniques

  • Collaborate with therapists, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care

  • Utilize electronic medical records (EMR) systems to maintain accurate and compliant documentation

  • Stay up to date with legal and ethical standards in psychiatric practice, including Texas-specific regulations


Requirements as an Outpatient Psychiatrist
  • Medical Degree (MD or DO) and board certification in psychiatry

  • Valid and unrestricted medical license in the state of Texas

  • Strong expertise in emergency psychiatric care, suicide prevention, and co-occurring disorder treatment

  • Experience in multidisciplinary collaboration within an outpatient setting

  • Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Commitment to patient-centered care and adherence to ethical standards in psychiatry


Compensation & Benefits

Base Salary: $225,000 annually
