Axe Recruiting is seeking an Outpatient Psychiatrist for a leading mental health organization specializing in providing high-quality, accessible psychiatric care. This role is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting veterans, first responders, and individuals facing complex psychiatric challenges. The ideal candidate will be highly skilled in managing co-occurring disorders, personality disorders, and psychiatric emergencies, while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive outpatient psychiatric care, including assessments, diagnoses, and treatment planning
Manage complex cases involving mood disorders, personality disorders, and co-occurring conditions
Conduct psychiatric evaluations and mental status examinations to develop evidence-based treatment plans
Implement suicide prevention strategies and crisis intervention techniques
Collaborate with therapists, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care
Utilize electronic medical records (EMR) systems to maintain accurate and compliant documentation
Stay up to date with legal and ethical standards in psychiatric practice, including Texas-specific regulations
Requirements as an Outpatient Psychiatrist
Medical Degree (MD or DO) and board certification in psychiatry
Valid and unrestricted medical license in the state of Texas
Strong expertise in emergency psychiatric care, suicide prevention, and co-occurring disorder treatment
Experience in multidisciplinary collaboration within an outpatient setting
Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Commitment to patient-centered care and adherence to ethical standards in psychiatry
Compensation & Benefits
Base Salary: $225,000 annually
