About the Role

Axe Recruiting is partnering with a growing behavioral health organization to recruit an Outpatient Psychiatrist for its Westbury, New York practice.

This is a high-impact opportunity for a psychiatrist who wants more than a traditional salary-only outpatient role. The organization has introduced a compensation model designed to provide the stability of a strong base salary while also creating meaningful upside for psychiatrists who build a productive caseload, maintain strong clinical standards, and contribute to the continued growth of the practice.

The organization provides accessible psychiatric care to a diverse patient population, including veterans, first responders, individuals with complex psychiatric needs, and patients requiring coordinated outpatient support.

This role is ideal for a psychiatrist who values clinical autonomy, multidisciplinary collaboration, community impact, and the opportunity to participate in a growing behavioral health platform.

Compensation & Total Earning Potential

This opportunity is built around a compensation model that rewards more than time in seat.

Base Salary: $250,000 annually

Estimated OTE: $300,000–$400,000+ annually, depending on productivity, patient volume, schedule utilization, payer mix, documentation standards, collections, organizational performance, and approved performance-based bonus eligibility.

Performance-Based Bonus Potential: In addition to base salary, the psychiatrist may be eligible for performance-based bonus compensation tied to productivity, patient care delivery, documentation quality, schedule utilization, and contribution to organizational growth.

This structure is designed for a psychiatrist who wants the security of a strong base salary with the ability to earn more as the practice grows.
