About the Opportunity
Axe Recruiting is partnering with a leading behavioral health organization to identify an experienced Psychiatric–Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC). In this hybrid role, you’ll split your time between in-person patient visits and virtual consultations, offering both flexibility and continuity of care. Our client’s dedicated administrative team manages scheduling, prior authorizations, and non-clinical tasks—so you can devote your energy entirely to clinical practice and patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive psychiatric assessments and ongoing medication management across adult, adolescent, geriatric, and pediatric populations
Design and adjust individualized treatment plans in collaboration with psychiatrists, therapists, and care coordinators
Leverage telehealth platforms alongside on-site appointments to maximize patient access and engagement
Stay current with—and advocate for—emerging therapies and innovative treatment modalities
Ensure accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with Texas regulations
Qualifications
Board-certified Psychiatric–Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC), licensed in Texas (multi-state licensure is a strong asset)
At least 5 years of hands-on psychiatric clinical experience (10+ years preferred)
Demonstrated skill treating a broad spectrum of psychiatric conditions
Comfortable and proficient working in both telehealth and face-to-face environments
Collaborative mindset, exceptional communication skills, and commitment to a supportive team culture
Intellectual curiosity and eagerness to learn new treatment approaches
Compensation & Benefits
$130,000 – $160,000+ Up to 30% Bonuses
