In this role, the Workflow Applications Engineer will design, develop, and implement automated workflows that power enterprise-grade digital processes across cloud and on‑prem environments.

What You’ll Do
As the Workflow Applications Engineer, you will:

• Design and implement customized automated workflows tailored to client requirements using object‑oriented principles and API integrations.
• Develop and optimize solutions in Java and scripting languages (Python, Bash) for on‑prem and cloud environments.
• Collaborate with software engineering, product, and customer service teams to gather requirements and identify automation opportunities.
• Monitor and troubleshoot application performance to ensure high availability and reliability of workflow processes.
• Maintain clear, concise documentation of workflows, codebases, configuration settings, and integration approaches.
• Manage multiple concurrent projects and issues, prioritizing tasks effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
• Communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or equivalent practical experience.
• Solid understanding of object‑oriented programming, APIs, XML/JSON, and command‑line tools in Linux/Unix.
• Hands‑on development experience in Java or scripting languages such as Python and Bash.
• Familiarity with workflow automation tools, version control (Git), and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong debugging, testing, and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to explain technical details clearly.
• Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively on cross‑functional teams.

Preferred Experience

• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization or virtualization strategies.
• Experience with databases such as PostgreSQL and Elasticsearch.
• Background in technical support, solution architecture, or project management.
• Exposure to Agile delivery methodologies and startup or fast‑paced environments.
• Industry experience in media, entertainment, publishing, or digital media.

Additional Requirements
Candidates should be available to address urgent incidents outside standard business hours on rare occasions, possess a customer-first mindset, and demonstrate enthusiasm for continuous technology learning.
