Axe Recruiting has been retained to build the initial sales team for a gold-backed fintech / neo-banking platform offering:

  • Physical gold sales

  • IRA rollovers and other retirement funding into gold-backed products

  • Trading and futures via a licensed brokerage structure

  • Access to a large community of gold-focused investors and enthusiasts


Position Summary

The Gold Investment Sales Consultant is responsible for generating new revenue by:

  • Selling gold and gold-backed IRA products, and

  • Building and managing a personal book of clients.

This is a phone-first, investment-style sales role with significant upside for producers.

Pre-funding, the role is commission-only. After funding, the client plans to move strong performers to a salary draw plus commission structure.


Key Responsibilities

New Business Development

  • Execute a high-activity outbound sales motion:

    • Prospecting calls

    • Follow-up calls

    • Email and compliant SMS outreach

  • Target:

    • Individual investors interested in gold and alternative assets

    • Prospects looking to roll IRAs / retirement funds into gold-backed structures

    • Warm communities and referrals (gold-mining groups, social media, etc.)

Consultative Sales

  • Conduct structured discovery to understand:

    • Financial objectives, time horizon, and risk tolerance

  • Present and explain:

    • How physical gold and gold-backed accounts fit into a portfolio

    • How IRA rollovers into gold work, in practical terms

    • Key differences between this platform and other gold / IRA providers

  • Coordinate with internal operations and licensed brokerage staff to:

    • Support client onboarding, documentation, and funding

    • Ensure a smooth and compliant client experience

Pipeline & Performance Management

  • Maintain a disciplined pipeline in the CRM / admin panel:

    • Log all activities, notes, and next steps

    • Maintain accurate forecasts

  • Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly volume and revenue targets.

  • Develop a repeat and referral business from existing clients.

Process Feedback & Team Support

  • Provide feedback on:

    • Effective messaging and approaches

    • Common objections and process bottlenecks

  • Contribute to continuous improvement of:

    • Scripts and talk tracks

    • Email and follow-up sequences

    • Targeting and segmentation


Requirements

Experience

  • 3+ years of successful sales experience in financial or investment products, ideally:

    • Gold / precious metals

    • Gold IRAs or retirement products

    • Annuities, structured products, or other alternative investments

  • Strong track record of:

    • Meeting or exceeding sales / production targets

    • Managing a full sales cycle from prospecting to close

Skills & Knowledge

  • Ability to explain gold, IRAs, and diversification concepts clearly and accurately.

  • Strong phone presence and comfort with a high-volume outreach environment.

  • Competent with CRM usage and maintaining an organized pipeline.

Nice to Have

  • Experience specifically with gold IRAs and rollover processes.

  • Experience working under a broker-dealer or RIA.

  • Relevant licenses (Series 7, 63, 65/66, CFP, etc.) are an asset but not required.

  • Comfortable earning on commission-only during the initial phase.

  • Competitive, self-directed, and metrics-driven.

  • High integrity; respects regulatory and compliance boundaries.

  • Professional communication style with investors and high-net-worth clients.


Compensation

Phase 1 – Pre-Funding

  • Commission-only on:

    • Gold sales

    • Assets brought onto the platform via IRA / retirement rollovers

  • No cap on earnings; income scales with production.

Phase 2 – Post-Funding

  • Planned move to approximately USD $120,000/year salary draw + commission for strong producers.

  • Commission percentages designed to be more attractive than major traditional firms.

  • Eligibility for year-end bonus based on performance (structure to be defined by the client).
